Making A Difference

"It's really nice to have a partner who understands what you need to be doing, has the same kind of mission, and helps you get there." Dan Quisenberry - Michigan Association of Public School Academies (MAPSA)

"As we grow, we need a partner like the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools to help us continue to focus on what we need to focus on, and also provide resources." Leslie Redwine - Achievement First Connecticut

Without a group like the Alliance to help me, I wouldn't be able to advocate well on behalf of the students and families at Chicago International. Beth Purvis - Chicago International Charter Schools

What We Believe

The National Alliance for Public Charter Schools believes that all families deserve high-quality public school options.
Charter schools are independent public schools providing families with a new set of public school options. Each of these schools is developed to be a partnership between parents, teachers and students.  Increasingly, when given that option, parents are choosing to enroll their children in charter schools.  In fact, the demand for charter schools is far outpacing the supply in most communities.  What began as a small movement in a couple of states has grown to become a major force in education reform. The National Alliance for Public Charter Schools is the national nonprofit organization working to grow the number of high-quality charter schools available to all families, and especially those who do not have access to high-quality public schools.
