Alanna Klein is the senior manager of media strategy for the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools and is responsible for the Alliance’s media strategy as well as supporting the State and Federal teams’ communications strategies and needs.
Previously, Alanna led communications strategy at Green Dot Public Schools, a national charter school management operator with 25 schools in California, Tennessee, and Texas. Prior, Alanna worked in public relations for technology start-ups Kernel and Oura Ring and started her career at William Morris Endeavor in scripted television.
Alanna is the communications chair for Foster Nation, a volunteer-led non-profit whose mission is to support foster youth transitioning out of the system in Los Angeles and she is also a volunteer at Los Angeles Animal Services and works with shelter dogs. Alanna grew up in Los Angeles where she still lives with her rescue dog, Remy, and graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Art History and French.
