Kaitlin Harrier joins the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools as Senior Director for State Advocacy and Support. With over a decade of experience in leadership roles within Arizona state government, Kaitlin is a passionate advocate for education innovation and reform, working to expand access to public charter schools for students nationwide.
Kaitlin began her career at the Arizona Governor’s Office of Strategic Planning and Budgeting, where she provided fiscal oversight, led a team of skilled analysts, and directed budget and strategic plan development for over a dozen cabinet agencies. After four successful years, she transitioned to the Governor’s policy team, eventually serving as Senior Education Policy Advisor. In this role, she spearheaded significant legislative achievements, including a $20 million Transportation Modernization Grant aimed at enhancing safety and access to school options, and played a pivotal role in establishing the Public School Credit Enhancement Fund to support high-quality school expansion.
Before joining the National Alliance, Kaitlin founded and led a statewide nonprofit to empower families with impartial information and support to find the best educational fit for their children.
Kaitlin lives in Phoenix with her husband and two sons. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Arizona’s scenic outdoors with her family.
