The National Alliance for Public Charter Schools is thrilled to welcome the 2024-2025 class of Rising Leaders, the program’s third cohort. Ten charter high school students were selected from more than 130 applicants to grow their leadership and advocacy skills through intensive programming, team building, and opportunities outside their classrooms.
With many state legislative sessions wrapped up for 2024, now is a good time to take stock of how charter school supporters fared in their advocacy efforts this year.
U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona announced the 60th class of U.S. Presidential Scholars, recognizing 161 high school seniors “for their accomplishments in academics, the arts, and career and technical education fields.” Nine of the Presidential Scholars are public charter school students.
