National Alliance Applauds Funding for Charter School Facilities in New Jersey State Budget

All children deserve a safe and inspired learning environment. We applaud New Jersey’s step toward fairness and equity in facilities funding for public charter school students, but more work must be done to ensure that all public schools, regardless of school type, can meet the learning needs of students and their communities.

National Alliance Applauds the Wisconsin Legislature and Governor Tony Evers on Wisconsin Biennial State Budget Bill

On July 5, Governor Evers signed the Wisconsin Biennial State Budget Bill, the final piece of legislation in a historic education funding package for Wisconsin. Combined with more than a billion dollars in public-school K12 education funding in the budget, a separate and significant gap closure investment into independent charter schools makes per-pupil funding far more equitable.
