Are you making plans to join us at the 2019 National Charter Schools Conference in Las Vegas? NCSC19 offers charter school leaders, educators, and advocates opportunities for continued learning, the national perspective on the movement, and new connections.
But if you need some added incentive, it’s Vegas baby! There are hundreds of things to do in Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world.
Here’s our list of the top five things to add to your NCSC19 schedule:
1. Catch a Show
There are so many shows in Las Vegas—from comedians, acrobats, and A-list musicians, you will find something that will blow you away. “O” by Cirque du Soleil at Bellagio Las Vegas, Boyz II Men at the Mirage, and Donnie and Marie Osmond at Flamingo Las Vegas are just a few of the must-see summer shows.
2. Get your Thrill On
Bucket-list worthy adventures await you in Vegas. From swimming with sharks in the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay, ziplining on Slotzilla in the Fremont Street Experience, to the Sky Jump at the Stratosphere Tower, the thrill junky in you will be satisfied.
3. Dine, Wine, and Socialize
Once known for the infamous all-you-can-eat buffets, the food scene in Las Vegas has become one of the top things to experience. And you can eat well and not break the bank! Have breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi, lunch at Flock and Fowl or Five50 Pizza Bar, enjoy happy hour at PUB 1842, and go all out for dinner at Joël Robuchon Restaurant at MGM Grand.
4. Things to See and Do
There is no shortage of things to do and see in Las Vegas, including Downtown Container Park, Neon Museum, Fremont Street Experience, and the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Be sure to visit the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority for a more comprehensive list.
5. Nightlife
If nightlife is your thing, some say no Vegas experience would be complete without a trip to the club. If you are staying at the Mandalay Bay, there is Light Nightclub, but if you want to venture out, you can catch star-studded performances and celebrity DJs spinning at Hakkasan, Drai’s, or Tao.
NCSC19 and Vegas have so much to offer and we haven’t come close to exhausting the list. Start planning today!
