The year 2020 has been challenging for many—however, this isn’t stopping charter schools from helping their graduates create happy memories. In this series, we highlight the multitude of ways schools are recognizing their 2020 grads.
A Graduation Tour
As a pre-graduation celebration, the team at Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts in Pennsylvania went on a special tour, “Park and Circumstance.” Teachers and staff hopped on the school’s buses and made 10 stops to parks in the area to celebrate their high school seniors. The graduates took pictures with each other and their teachers. To continue the celebration, the school will create more memories during smaller graduation ceremonies next month.
Surprise Graduation Door-to-Door
Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School in Massachusetts surprised their four high school seniors at their doorsteps! Three of the students live on the vineyard while the other student is less than 10 miles away. The graduates received their diplomas and shared their future goals.
An EPIC Graduation
More than 3,000 seniors from EPIC Charters Schools in Oklahoma graduated in their first-ever virtual ceremony! The graduation honored each student and included speeches from the valedictorian, salutatorian, and guest speakers.
To the class of 2020—congratulations on the first step into your new journey.
