Todd Ziebarth, Senior Vice President of State Advocacy and Support at the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools, released the following statement:
“All children deserve a safe and inspired learning environment. We applaud New Jersey’s step toward fairness and equity in facilities funding for public charter school students, but more work must be done to ensure that all public schools, regardless of school type, can meet the learning needs of students and their communities.
“We thank Governor Phil Murphy for giving approval to this funding which will help address longstanding facilities needs of public charter schools in the Garden State. We also recognize Assemblywoman Angela McKnight, Assemblyman Benjie Wimberly—a 2023 Champion for Charter Schools—and Senator Troy Singleton for their leadership on this critical issue.”
