The Charter Schools Program (CSP) is the nations only source of dedicated federal funding for the creation of public charter schools. For 25 years, the CSP has provided states with resources to help ensure that every child can access a high-quality education at a public school. This report explains the charter school model, offers a brief history of the CSP, provides information about grantees in the past fiscal year, and summarizes its impact.
